Accomplishments: His song Those Times made the semi-finals in the 2017 International Songwriting Competition in the categories Americana and ScreenShot (Motion-picture). Receiving 16 000 entries, New York Times acknowledges the competition as 'the songwriting competition to take note of'. 

Mike Palframan is no regular corporate banker.  He is a story-telling songwriter whose music is influenced by the likes of the Waterboys, Bob Dylan, Rodriguez, Dire Straits and Coldplay. He enjoys big music and varied instrumentals creating his unique and genre defying sound. You can feel the energy in his music. He will move you - make you think. 

His songwriting and melodies are intriguing and demand your attention. His lyrics are sharp and cut to the essence of modern life with the precision of a surgeon's knife.

His first album was released in February 2018 debuting his versatile talents as a singer and songwriter. The tracks on his first album 'Out the Door' are so varied - from folk-rock to reggae to blues. You will find songs suited for motion picture as well as some catchy foot stompers and even some ironic humorous songs . His voice smoothly delivers his powerful message. It is hard to ignore him - his lyrics will move you! His live shows bring us back for more. 

Mike has a catalogue of over 60 completed songs most still unrecorded. By day he continues to ply his trade as a financier, and after that he heads to the studio to work on his music. With his deep understanding of people, he has created a powerful study of human nature - one you can sing along to.
